However, technology, ever our savior, has allowed scientists to begin more thoroughly exploring this previously untapped region. According to a study report released by Georgetown University’s Centre on Education and the Workforce, bachelor degree holders in architecture have been experiencing the highest unemployment rate for last couple of years.
The report reveals that for last four years, Architecture graduates have topped the list of the highest rate of unemployment.

The profession of designing and construction has been suffering since 2008. So, a large number of people have lost their jobs since that time. Many experts have their predictions that companies will not hire their old employees when they will again start hiring, as they can hire new college pass outs on less salary and they will work hard than their old employees, shares Jesse Purves.

Robert Miller, director of the School of Architecture, said: “They won’t be hiring their older employees for many reasons. First, they are going to be out of touch within the field of work for a long time. Second, they are going to be older, and third, it is going to be more expensive to get those people back, stats Jesse Purves.”

He said, “This will bring a huge demand for young architects, and students with developed skills and great attitudes.”

Situation for architecture graduates is bad, as industry is suffering loss and companies fear in hiring. So, in future when industry’s business would come back on track, economists and market experts forecast that companies would prefer to hire young graduates on lower salaries which may worsen the situation for old employees.
